We’re coming to the end of August 2026, and lately I’ve been thinking a lot about how I can bring my niche style of music and composing to a wider audience.
Music has been part of my life for a very long time, but I’ve never been interested in simply making what everyone else is making. I have my own tastes—sometimes cinematic, sometimes modern, sometimes experimental—and I want to find the audience that connects with that.
One of my latest steps is creating Eternal Moods, a new website where I’m beginning to showcase some of my latest cinematic pieces along with other music I’ve created. I’m still developing it, adding music, refining the presentation, and figuring out where I ultimately want to take it.
I’m also planning to go back through some of my more modern tracks and remix them. I have years of music and ideas that I still believe in, and sometimes an older track just needs to be heard again with fresh ears and a new perspective.
The biggest challenge is time. I work a full-time job, so building websites, composing, mixing, and developing all of these ideas has to happen around everything else. It can be tough, but I know I can do it. I’ve been making music for too long to stop exploring where it can take me.
I’m also thinking about starting a series of short YouTube vlog-style videos showing some of the process—the composing, mixing, website development, revisiting older tracks, and probably some of the things that don’t work along the way. Instead of only showing the finished product, I think it could be interesting to document the journey.
That’s really where RunJoeRun is right now: still running, still creating, still experimenting, and still trying to find new ways to connect with people.
Anyway, I’ll try to stay more on track here and share more of what I’m working on as it develops.
And hopefully, somewhere along the way, I’ll get a chance to meet some of you—in one way, shape, or form.
